Purple Tie Gala – virtual edition

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that -because of you- Cornerstone Housing for Women collectively raised more than $103,000 through our third annual Purple Tie Gala. We couldn’t be more grateful for this city’s truly astounding support.

This is indeed all thanks to YOU: every single person and organization who donated, bought tickets, sponsored, coordinated, shared, or simply tuned in to learn more about what we do.

Your support is directly helping women in your community transition from homelessness to hope, healing and home.

A big thank you to our matching gift sponsors! Thanks to incredible support from Livingston Wealth Management and MacDonald Wealth Management of RBC Dominion Securities Inc. and Emond Harnden LLP. You doubled your impact!

New to this year’s gala – Online Silent Auction

This year we included an Online Silent Auction with incredible items for you to bid on including: one of a kind jewellery, hotel stays, photo sessions and more!

The auction started on September 16th at 1:00 pm and finished after the gala on Saturday, October 2nd at 9:00 pm.

Funds raised from the online silent auction will go a long way to providing much-needed shelter and housing supports for women in Ottawa. Every year 1,000 women become homeless in Ottawa. Cornerstone has provided shelter to double the number of women it supported before the pandemic. The need is great.

We are so grateful to everyone who placed a bid to help raise money for Cornerstone. We would also like to send a heartfelt thank you to all of the wonderful entrepreneurs, local businesses, artists, restaurants, designers and more who donated an item to make our auction a huge success! Thank you!
