Programs & Services

Cornerstone operates four supportive housing communities and an emergency women's shelter, with the support of our donors, community partners, and volunteers.

Every day, we support more than 300 women and gender-diverse individuals in our Cornerstone Community. Here, everyone belongs, everyone matters, and everyone deserves a second chance.

At Cornerstone we know that everyone's journey is different. We strive to meet individuals where they are at and empower them to meet their own individual goals with the support of frontline staff and case managers. Across our programs, we offer a variety of services that help support the needs of the individuals who call Cornerstone home.

Emergency Women's Shelter

Together, these five buildings make up a vibrant community of empowerment for women moving from homelessness to hope, healing, and housing.

We are guided by the Ontario Supportive Housing Policy Framework (2017), Government of Ontario, guidelines:

  • Maintain and enhance housing stability
  • Support physical and mental needs
  • Create greater independence
  • Give supports that decrease emergency services
  • Create greater social and community connection
