Do you know how many meals we serve at Cornerstone every day?
Each day, we prepare and serve 750 meals across our programs — including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Staff and volunteers on our dedicated Food Services Team work hard to ensure that individuals using our programs have access to nutritious and comforting meals.
That's where you come in! We are in need of meal and fresh food donations, no matter the size.
There are two ways to contribute to the food program at Cornerstone Housing for Women:
We are grateful to accept donations of food for our Food Services Team to prepare and serve to residents in our programs.
We accept:
- Fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, dairy, and other produce
- Unopened non-perishable items, such as pasta, rice, crackers, canned goods, and cereal
- Snacks and bottled/canned drinks (juice, soft drinks, bottled water)
Want to serve a meal to residents in our emergency shelter or supportive housing programs?
Volunteer with your friends or colleagues to donate a meal and serve it to the individuals who call Cornerstone home.
*Please note: Due to public health regulations, all meals served to residents at Cornerstone Housing for Women must be prepared in a commercial kitchen, either off-site or at Cornerstone.
Thank you for your support! Together, we can make sure that no one at Cornerstone goes hungry.
If you have any questions or concerns about food donations, please contact our donation team at donate@cornerstonewomen.ca or 613-254-6584 ext. 521.
