Cornerstone Housing for Women is proud to stand alongside gender-based violence organizations, advocates, and community partners in endorsing the joint statement, "Our Communities Deserve Safety from Police Violence: A Joint Statement in Solidarity with Survivors of GBV and Communities."
The statement responds to recent reports of misconduct within the Ottawa Police Service and shows our commitment to survivors of gender-based violence, community accountability, and the need for systems that prioritize safety, dignity, and healing.
