Eccles Residence - Spring 2024

Cornerstone is thrilled to announce that we have acquired our fifth supportive housing residence for women and gender-diverse people in Ottawa.

We have purchased 44 Eccles, which will become a new home for 46 women and gender-diverse people facing the challenge of homelessness in our community.

Our purchase of 44 Eccles has been made possible through funding from the Rapid Housing Initiative-2 Stream (RHI) provided by the Government of Canada through the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and we will be receiving funding from the Provincial Government and The City.

We will be welcoming residents to 44 Eccles Street by the end of 2023, we look forward to keeping you up to date on our progress of the renovations!

Residence Features:
  • 46 supportive housing units for women and gender diverse individuals over the age of 18 with moderate-high acuity, including 12 (3 per floor) fully accessible units
  • 30% of units are dedicated to Indigenous Peoples and we will continue to work with Minwaashin Lodge through our unique Indigenous and Cultural Services Program.
  • The current parking lot will be turned into an outdoor garden and seating area.
